I'm often dealing with "collections" of fabrics more than scraps or coordinated patterns. I really like this Simplish concept of sashed squares and rectangles.
Here's pictures of 2, "Here Kitty Kitty" and "Horse Blanket"

I have done so many charity quilts now and most are learning patterns for me and are made as an example of something I have not done before. They are made to look the very best and are not a "sample" block but something that I want to see on a different lay out as well as how new patterns go together. So I don't have a favorite pattern. Yours is beautiful and I am enjoying seeing other blocks and quilt made for charity.

* Meet in the Middle. Created by Jo’s Country Junction. We’ve made it for church donation but instead of 2.5” strips, we cut scraps 5.5” x 16.5”.
* Disappearing 9 Patch. However I change it up & do not cut it apart. 5” squares (4 of fabric A, 4 of fabric B and 1 of fabric C for the center). It makes a nice masculine quilt.
* Mary’s Quick Strippie Quilt. I make the top & bottom strip 5.5” instead of 3.5”. Then I add 5.5” side borders.

I think my favorite donation pattern is square in a square. It eats up scraps well or can be a quick project if working from yardage and is easy to adjust the size from baby to adult size throw to bed quilt.
I also make anything that will diminish my collection of 2.5" squares.

WMUTeach, I like your square in square quilts…especially the colorful one. I’ll have to remember that pattern for future donations. I think Turning Twenty is also a good pattern (quick and easy) for charity quilts.
