I just purchased the basic set but would love to know what y'all think of the extra dies...trying to pick a few. Leaning toward the strip cutter (2 1/2 or 1 1/2 inch) and maybe some of the cute flowers....

    Any input appreciated!

Our guild has one for members to use. The most popular dies are the 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 strips and the apple core/hatchet. The strip dies really make quick work out of prepping to make a string or log cabin quilt.

50 percent off on these dies...I was just checking and for me it states free shipping. I am debating on the 2 in strip die. I have two now...its only 34.00

oh...and I have the apple core...its a nightmare for a beginner...I gave up on it...its hard to do the curves. I just ordered the 6 1/2 inch tumbler die - I love the 6 1/2 inch die that is my favorite one.

Glad I read this...I was really wanting the apple core one, but I thought the curves might be hard to do.
