Right now I am in love with red, black, and yellow. A compliment here, I have copied Danielle's block and pattern. I sewed the first block and it is gorgeous. Danielle, thank you so much for helping me locate the red/burgandy fabric... JoAnns had just enough for me to make the quilt. I cannot wait to get it finished. It will be awhile as I am heading to a family reunion and spend time with my friend canning green beans.
Next, I love blues, lavenders, and have a black and white quilt on my to do list some day.

sounds weird...... and I have never really tried it but I love red and pink together, so perhaps when (or should I say IF) I ever get caught up, I just might try it.

My angel sent me for Valentine's Day, a charm pack of reds. Maybe I will combine them with some pink and see what develops.

Never thought about it before this..thanks for the thread.......it just might help a few others to make up there minds about new ideas also.

I tend to go by color families or by the colors in the print of my focal fabric. Latest focal print was bright lime green, hot pink, bright yellow for a friend's new baby girl. Currently doing the group of green batiks I got from Roberta that has splashes of purple, burgundy, aqua, orange, navy in the various greens.
