It depends on how complex we're talking. For an easy, quick quilt, I usually make Yellow Brick Road or a Turning Twenty. For something slightly more complex, I go to Log Cabin quilts or an easy block like the Ohio Star, Disappearing Nine Patch, etc.

Turning Twenty! It can be totally scrappy, but I prefer to use some of the same fabric in multiple blocks to give the quilt a bit of continuity. I made an Asian Turning Twenty for my daughter and a Turning Twenty with darker, more masculine colors for my husband. You can't tell I used the same pattern for both quilts.

I like making tumbler quilts for children. the 30 min.quilt for lap quilts, and the turning 20 becomes 25 for a fast quilt to have on hand. there are hundreds I have saved but not made yet. I love making ohio stars and can't wait to do a bed size quilt with those.

I love your quilt but can you please tell me how you can make it in a day? Always open to suggestions.
