My go to pattern - especial for batiks - is Syncopated Rhythm by Karen Montgomery. It uses 10" squares grouped by color and a non regular pentagon (sides are different lengths) and then cut as you would a Buggy Barn. While she no longer has the pattern on her website - I recently wrote her and she sold me some for a class I did at guild.

Here are three I did from the same pattern - first two are batiks - the other is made from 30's prints.

The Ribbon Box quilt would look terrific in your colors, I made a similar one and just love it:

    Betty,

Those are beautiful. I love the brown and blue one the most. THAT looks like sea glass!

I've purchased the Anne of Green Gables layer cakes when they were on M* daily deal. I need ideas on what to do with it. This thread has been great!

Your Hunters Star is very nice. I have the pattern but haven't tried it yet.

My fav Layer Cake pattern is from Missouri Star too! Its a traditional Churn Dash. you need background fabric (she says a white Layer cake, but I cut my own background from stash) and a center (I didn't need that many blocks, so I used lighter fabrics from the layer cake for the centers.) its quick and I loved the top when it was done. I can get a picture if you want one. I didn't do the extra green corners on the quilt in the background.
