    What is your favorite Notion...?

Do you purchase lots of different ones?

Can you pass up a good looking, easy to use Notion one you feel you just can not live without?

Needless to say, a seam ripper. But in addition to that, I use an awl. It's perfect for coaxing and easing fabric a little at a time into seams.

My favorite is the seam ripper. I buy them 3 or 4 at a time. I lose them alot. I know when I FINALLY get my room entirely cleaned, I'll find all of them. lol

I don't know if there's really anything else out there, have looked at a few cool things, but I can live without them for now, but NEED the ripper!

I have to say I love my new little gizmo..and, I don't know what they call it..but, I love it! (Okay someone can say what it is called if you know!)It looks like a ruler...long about 12" and in the middle is a line...and, the edge either way of it is 1/4"....and, you can use this to mark your 1/4" marks to sew on...so, you can layer 2, let's say 5" square...then mark you lines, sew....On lines...then cut between them which is where the line was on this ruler thingie....which then makes your 2 triangles sets...and, you can keep going across , up and down w/these lines, sewing and then the cut...and, you'd have little pinwheel pieces!:)Such a fun little gizmo..and, such a pretty neon orange...and so sorry I can't name it;)Skeat who paid only a bit over $2 for this entertainment...that keeps going for now I have entertained you!LOL

I'm with Amma--if a gadget exists, I probably have it. (probably haven't used half of them). Oh and if it's "as seen on tv" I gotta get it!! I have every peeler, noodle cooker, window cleaner, etc, etc that's ever been sold on tv (all neatly stored in the basement, unused) What can I say? I'm a "junkie"!! (But not for drugs-just junk LOL)

I have a lot but I think my favorite is the Kwik Klip to help these old arthritic hands pin all those pins in the quilt. If you've never used it trust me it makes it so easy to pin the pins, and also to take them out when you start quilting.

I love notions and gadgets and depending on the price, I'll usually buy it and try it, if it catches my fancy. The same with kitchen gadgets. Love em. I think my fave sewing notion is my magnetic pin holder.

My most favorite- current- is a short ruler used in paper piecing to cut for the 1/4 inch . It has a little lip so it doesn't slid  and don't ask why I need that little lip
