It is not the shop especially that I look for...it is the manufacturer as said above. If a particular site won't tell me the manufacturer, then I won't purchase (i.e. Keepsake). You cannot tell the quality by the design because there are knockoffs.

That said, shops do matter. Customer service and friendliness and reasonable shipping are what it is all about more even than price. We all have our short "go to" list, but sometimes you are looking for a certain thing and have to try others. Good way to make new friends.

Thank you, Lori, ZTAgirlknits, and Murphy, for mentioning me!

It always feels so nice to get a recommendation. Thanks!

    www.batiks.com

They have quality fabric in addition to batiks and the best customer service that I've ever seen. I order from them all of the time and if I order while the store is open, I receive a "your order has shipped" message a few hours later.

I can't recommend them strongly enough.

I like Fabrics.com- they have really good quality fabric and a great website that is easily searched. I have not bought from CT, but have heard that theirs is thinner...
