    Hi everyone,

I found that I really enjoy doing 4 patch quilts, basically because they can be scrappy, and I also enjoy doing star quilt blocks. What are some of your favorites to do? It is always fun to find out what others like to do.

I fall back to strip quilts for in between learning projects, but I try to apply a twist somehow.

Something that challenges me. Any quilt I do has to "strike my fancy".

That may be applique, paper piecing or traditional piecing. Right now, I am paper piecing a Hunter's star and hand appliquing a flower pot quilt. Two totally different styles and approaches...but each is teaching me something new.

So I guess the best thing mine all have in common is the word "challenging" and definitely NOT boring!

Samplers that include everything from 4 squares, to Dresden Plate, to pinwheels. Just a congloberation of everything. This way I get to try everything.

I don't think I really have a favorite, I just go with the flow of what I want to do at the moment. Right now though, my favorite fabric to use is batik's!

I love making the tumbler quilts. I saw one on Crazy Mom Quilts blog that she did for Moda Bakeshop and was hooked. I have made several of them. Sometimes it drives me crazy with the off-set angles but I love the look of them.
