Today I went with DH to a Dr's appointment in Burlington, Vermont. Shortly after the ferry ride I saw a sign that read: Singer Featherweights at an antique shop. After the appointment we drove back with plenty of time to spare and stopped. It was the nicest antique shop I had ever see. Everything was perfectly cleaned and labeled, decorated as if things were being used. In one corner there were 4 Featherweights. 3 blacks and a beige. It was so nice to see them all together. I asked if they have a quarter inch foot but the lady said that they only had what they could see. Very nice cases too.

They gave me a business card to the person that services the machines when they get them. The other lady says: There he is, he is driving into the driveway right now. How lucky? He was deaf but could read lips and we had a nice conversation. He asked me for my address and told me that He will check at home and send it to me. I could send him the payment when I get it. Can you believe that? Only in a small town of Vermont you could see that, and this New yorker is not used to it. He happens to be the brother of the guy that services my non-computer sewing machines in NY. Such a small world.

If only DH's injections worked, it would be the perfect trip. We will know in 4 to 14 days. He got steroids injected into his neck to reduce the swelling of a herniated disk.
I hope the injections work for DH, but in my case I had to have surgery!! I had it done on the 17th and just now starting to feel better. What a quaint shoppe, I wish I lived in the New England states for the small town atmosphere.

I already have one, but I did enjoy looking at them. DH is feeling much better, but still not 100%. Thanks for asking.
