My husband bought me a LA last year, and I am still very much in the learning stage. I have almost always done ruler work before, but on the present quilt I decided to do my first FM stippling. Well, my son and grandson (3 yo) stopped in yesterday, and I was proudly showing my grandson what I had quilted. "see those lines and those squiggly lines!" "yeah, I see them," was his reply with the tone of voice that said, what's the big deal, Grandma? Squiggly lines? I felt a bit silly for being so enthused about my squiggly lines!

It looks so easy when you see someone else do it, but I didn't realize how hard it was till I tried it myself. And smooth curves - needless to say, I have a lot of practice to do.
