Well today got two quilts quilted and put some pieces of batting sewn together for another quilt or two I hate to throw decent size batting leftovers away. The small ones I use to clean the rollers and rails on my longarm.

I did some organizing in my sewing room. I got out my mother's old sewing box and sorted thru the stuff inside. I tossed most of it (rusty needles, 3 inch pieces of yellowed elastic) and made a place for it in my sewing room. I'm using it to keep buttons and fasteners in now. I shifted a lot of stuff around in the name of reorganzing but I'm not sure I accomplished that much.

On a day when I want to sew but don't really want to work on a specific projects, I will take my box of batting pieces and put them together into usable pieces. It solves my sewing need, prepares batting for the next quilt and cleans up a scrap bin. All in all, a productive day!

I save most batting scraps and have hand sewn poly batting to twin - full size . I use pieces for QAYG. Am now using small pieces to tear apart and fill biscuits for biscuit quilt I am making.
