I am wanting to make a quilt as a wedding gift for a niece who loves Fiestaware dishes. I've done some searching and found a few that others have made but nothing jumps out at me yet. (I've looked at Southerngirlquilts "Broken Fiestaware" and this one at http://www.utahquiltguild.org/gallery/photo/167/). I'm trying to decide on a pattern and the fabric. I've seen a couple of people say they have matched the various Fiestaware colors with the Kona cottons which would give me the fabrics but I would like to find some fabric line that incorporates some prints using those colors. You folks always have such wonderful ideas so I thought I would ask and get your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks for the tablecloth suggestion, Darren. I'll look into it. I also found a quilt by Cindy Sharp at her Tops to Treasures blog that really appeals to me - http://topstotreasures.blogspot.com/...-festival.html - Isn't it beautiful!

The quilt and instructions are also in her book "Quilts for All Seasons" for only a few dollars more. http://www.amazon.com/American-Janes...or+all+seasons

I have a not yet finished "Fiestaware" quilt, that is a Broken Dishes pattern. It was a blocks made by guild members from one of our block of the month programs, and I won the blocks. The only requirement was a white background and Fiestaware colors. I found fabric with cups and saucers on it for the borders. Someday it will be finished, but so far it looks great!

Oh My , you've gotta' check out this pattern. I think it's beautiful! And you could personalize it, if you knew what colors of Fiestaware she likes!
here's where you can find the free pattern:

I really like your table runner lalaland. So many good ideas - I'm starting to get confused. I've looked at the history of the colors Tanya L and I see what you mean about how they've changed over the years. I haven't seen her collection. Her mom thought it would be a good idea/theme for a quilt for her. I think if I do something using a variety of colors that it will work for her. - Thank you to everyone for your ideas and expertise.

A designer on spoonflower.com is selling fabric to make an apron (http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/267593). They print on Kona fabric. It's a bit pricey, but you might be able to get a little bit of the fabric and match Kona solids to it to make a quilt.
