that sounds intriguing. I had not heard of this. I asked them to send me a sample piece, I think it might be a great solution for me. Thanks for the tip

My DH put up two sheets of 4'X 8' foam insulation that I covered with batting, Makes a perfect design wall and doesn't look bad either

Working on the floor and having a hard time getting up from there is what made me think of tacking a large piece of white fleece, that I wasn't using, onto the wall. What a relief for my knees and back.

I tacked a piece of batting on my wall. It covers the whole wall and I love it.

I finally figured out I could make a large hem in a flannel backed tablecloth and put a wooden closet pole in it. Then I "tossed" it over a bookcase and the weight of the pole on the back keeps it hanging straight. Now what I need is a bigger tablecloth that would hold a 100X100 quilt.

However, I will wait until I find one on sale. Whole thing cost around $20 or less.

Congrats lsb142!!! I really could use one with the quilt I'm working on now. I've laid it out on the floor many times and had to pick it up again and put it down again, whew! Would be so much easier if I had a wall!

Deanne - I think I'm going to use your idea. We've got lots of those tri-fold boards with the kids' projects on them which they are never going to use again. We've got some from 11 years ago!

Gonna have me some fun and put together a board today. Why wait?

Thanks for the reminder lsb142 and Deanne!

I am in the process of making my own. Will be going to Home Depot and getting the stryo insulation board which is 4' x 8' x 1-1/2". I am going to play 'girly' and ask them to cut it for me. 6'8" x 2' which will stand very nicely in front of the closet in my sewing room. will cover them with white flannel....will post pictures and soon as I have it constructed. yes I am doing it myself !

I have a converted garage for a sewing room. I purchased plastic tablecloths (they have sort of a flannel back. I hung enough of them on my big empty wall with the flannel side out and then marked the sizes of quilts on them starting with a crib and on up to a king. Sure works out nice as can get back far enough to see how my colors look.
