Default Finally Got the Guts to Use My Janome "Heart" Machine

Call me a coward, call me gutless, but I've owned a Janome "Heart" machine since 2008 and have never even taken it out of the box...until today! I was afraid to use the machine because it is computerized. I finally decided to bite the bullet and teach myself how to use it. [Head slap here]...why, why, why did I ever wait so long to use it? I LOVE IT! I guess I am just a bit slow when it comes to technology...LOL

Anyone else here have the "Heart" (HT2008)? Any tips or pointers for me (besides dope slaps...I give myself enough of these)? Thanks.

Sorry! I'm laughing with you not at you but a 2008 computerized machine is really old style now. But at least you know you can buy a new one and not wait years to use it.

Hey...give me break here. I still use a flip phone and don't know how to do much on it! I told you, I am not one with technology...LOL

Nope...I think I'll stick with the Heart machine until it dies. My last Janome was a mechanical one (the Elite???) and is still going strong. Hopefully the <3 will last many many years.

Enjoy your new machine - technophobes need to support each other especially when overcoming fear of the computerized sewing machines!

.....wow, just think, now the warranty is expired, if you have a problem........

I open and try everything right away just in case!

But.....I still don't do Facebook, Twitter or any of that social media stuff! Except this one!

I bought the same machine back in February of 2008 and LOVE IT!!! It is an awesome machine and I have used mine many, many times since then. Mine is not picky about thread and I use Connecting Threads almost exclusively in it. I made my DH a denim rag quilt with my Janome and it sewed like a champ. And believe me, that quilt ways a ton!!

I promise the more you use the machine, the more you will love it.
