That is terrific! I only had one grandmother and she passed when I was 9. I remember her making rag rugs and want to learn. My mother's mother passed when Mom was 15. How awesome to have that connection.

Several years ago I received all my grandmothers quilting stuff. I made a scrappy quilt out of all the fabric combinations she used for all her quilts Every time I look at it I think of her and her love. I know you will enjoy yours as I did

Well she brought some of it over here yesterday and wow did she have a lot. Some of the fabric was yardages and some of it was scraps and a box full of patterns! The patterns are mostly made of cereal boxes and things like that. I can't wait to go through them. I'll have to get tubs for the fabric and then find a place for it!! I am so grateful that I now have something that belong to my mamaw!!
OH! how you will charish each item in her quilting things. I got all of my mothers quilting things, scrapes , unfinished quilt tops, some had to be from my grandmother. Mother made a lot by hand others on the sewing machine. enjoy and treasure them.

This is great that you recieved it after all that while. As you use her things maybe you will be carrying on some of he dreams too. I still use patterns that were my Grannies fro 60 years ago. I feel her presence when we sew. Good for you.
