I found this beautiful DWR quilt at a thrift shop. It sold everything at $1.79 a pound. Paid $7 for quilt and a few items of clothing. It is a little worn and has been loved a bit. I will continue to love it. Put it in my guest room. Will remove it when someone sleeps on bed.

We have one like it. It was made in the 1940's by ladies of my mother-in-laws "Thimble Club" those ladies made beautiful quilts. I am lucky to have 2 - the other is a pink & white Churn Dash. Just love the old patterns. Happy for you that you found it and appreciate it :D

I'm making one in shades of red, white and black fabrics (mostly emphasizing red).

    I'm jealous--that's a great find!

I have been wanting to make one for years now. I am afraid to try. When I saw this, I grabbed it right away.
