Finding myself hesitant to pick colours...

Opinions wanted:
The quilt I am doing is in a post two posts up if you'd like to see it.
With that in mind, would you prefer the fabrics that are just greens/oranges/yellows (Which are a lot brighter in person.)

Or would you prefer the ones that have the teal mixed in?

The fabric along the bottom is going to be the ribbon.
Thanks for any comments or suggestions on placement or anything else.

I feel your pain Watson! I do totally scrappy now so it doesn't matter anymore, but what I used to do was take a favorite fabric and pull colors from the color dots on the selvedge. Not necessarily using that fabric, but just a jumping off place.

I do pretty good with color choices but thought I could do better and decided to invest in the Jinny Beyer Portable Color Palette. It isn't cheap but boy is it helpful. You can pick any color swatch and match up additional colors to get from one to the other. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ2kCeYL8g0

I think I've got it. It occurred to me that there was no rule that said you couldn't use the same fabric more than once, so I used the "main" fabric twice and then filled in with the co-ordinating green, orange and yellow strips. I'm going to use a bright yellow fabric for the ribbon.
I think I'm happy with it. Time will tell.
Thanks to everyone who gave their comments. All were appreciated.

Okay. Well, I was going to suggest paying less attention to the colors and more attention to tone. My mom, a beginning quilter, made a quilt for my nephew and while I tried to guide her, she ended up second-guessing herself more than once and ended up swapping out several fabrics. Once she got it all put together, she didn't like it, but she couldn't figure out why. I took a picture of it on my phone, edited it into grayscale, and it became immediately clear to her. You could hardly tell where one fabric ended and the other began, because the fabrics were ALL mid-tones!
You need light, medium, and dark to make the quilt sparkle. And I would add the polka-dots with the teal, because that's your zinger fabric.
