What type of shank does that model have? There are universal feet that will fit any low shank, high shank or slant shank machine.

Here is a link to a site that says this foot will fit a 7442.

You might try jhittle or just google Singer walking foot. I ordered a pretty basic Singer last year and requested the quilting kit, which included a walking foot. I ordered from a place called sewingusa, or something like that.

Found this one. Maybe it will help.

The #7442 has snap on feet. A low shank walking foot should be fine on this machine. All you will have to do is remove the shank (what the feet snap into). You should be able to use a Singer Vertical/low shank walking foot. I know that they are available....

How old of a Singer is this machine? I have a walking foot that I got with a Singer Machine that belonged to a friend who had passed away. The machine was an older model some time back in the 60's . It might work. I would be glad to send it to you and if it works great if not you could pass it onto some one else whose machine it might work on. Let me by PM . I have a universal one that I paid 14.95 at Joann's that works fine on my Baby Loc. Hope this helps
