your going gangbusters for not quilting long!
wow, I am so impressed and i think your idea for the quilting is great!
(I can tell your a bit of a perfectionist. Quilting is the place to be for
that kind of wiring but too much and you'll be cray-cray. Ease up on
yourself, it's a beautiful quilt!)

You'll get lots of good advice on quilting, so I won't add to it. I just want to say that your quilt is lovely! You picked a complicated pattern to have been quilt making only two months. Bravo! It's going to be gorgeous when quilted and bound!

Since you are fairly new, why not do something fairly easy (save difficult for when you gain confidence). Using a walking foot you can easily do a wide wavy line down the red sashing. If you like that look, you could then do another wavy line down the center of the blocks. Doing this allows you to gently 'swerve' the top rather than make turns. Another idea would be the waves in the red and then do a square within the block. Make it just inside the blue seam so it is a bit less than half size of the block. I am not a fan of stitch in the ditch nor of heavy all over quilting. And I think this would be adequate to hold everything together and not make you crazy!!

That's a very nice quilt. I don't do free motion but everyone says to practice, practice, practice on small quilt sandwiches which I still need to do. You can use a neutral color to quilt, it doesn't have to match, or so I'm told. I find quilt in the ditch not too difficult and/or other straight line quilting. Good luck.
P.S. For only quilting for about 2 months, you are doing a fantastic job!
