    thanks everyone for the compliments---slept under it for the first time last night---hubby says it's a bit heavier than the one it replaced (this one has cotton batting-the one i took off the bed had wool batting)
    it really fits the bed nicely---i guess it's (a keeper )
    it started out with me just wanting to learn Hawiian applique- making a block & having no idea what to do with it---so when the rr came up i sent it off---Wow! was i ever astonished with what it turned into---i never dreamed that center block had such (potential)
