I finally finished this Wedding Ring quilt that I started 10 years ago for my daughter and SIL,it was going to be for there first anniversary but life took over and the only machine sewing on this quilt is the first part of the binding.I am going to give this to them this Christmas. Hope they like it.

I agree totally with these sentiments. Congratulations on finishing it is beautiful and that is what is great about classics...they don't look like "yesterday".

Eva, this is not an easy pattern, by hand or machine. It takes a lot of time, but is certainly possible to do. I would recommend getting the templates for the pieces made by Sharlene Jorgenson. They will make your pieces very accurate for piecing. Also, there are ways to make this pattern faster and easier, like making all the arcs from a single fabric, instead of many pieces. There is even a method which cuts the arcs out of pieced strips (strips sewn together side by side). That method is faster, the individual pieces making up the arcs are shaped a bit differently than if they were individually cut, but it is really not noticeable in the final product. Lots of ways to make this. Different strokes for different folks. Go for it!
