I like to finish one top first but while taking a break from quilting, I make other squares for other tops so that when I am done with one, I can go right on to the next one and get it sewn together. I have a bunch of crazy squares made, some pineapple squares, some pinwheel squares started and some dresdgen plate squares started. that way, I alway have another quilt ready to be put together when I am done.

No - didn't ever think that was a "have to" thing. :) I think I have ADD always have to have several things in progress.

I work on as many as I want at one time. Right now I have blocks made for four or five quilts that need to be put together, I have 2 tops that need borders but I run out of fabric and don't know where I bought the one I need. I have a GFG that I need one more row of flowers on, and some more ufo that I work on. I saw a cute scrappy quilt yesterday that I am wanting to start on now. I have some tops that need quilting.

Your hobby, your rules. I have eight going right now. I switch around at each sewing session, so I don't get bored.

I always finish one quilt before going on to the next. I longarm quilt so I do those first and then go back to my quilt when I have time.

Usually but I currently have 3 going this year, probably a bad idea because one is looking like a UFO because I lost interest, the other two are close to being finished, but I haven't been able to make myself do anything in a while

so I have a question now. Since I'm now working on three projects, maybe four now that I found some sewing machine needles, where do you store them all? We don't have a sewing room, so it's currently set up partially in my room and has to be taken down every day (a pain, but sometimes I work around it) so where do you put them all?

I always have lots going many UFO's because I love trying out new block patterns when I see them. I keep them hanging on the design wall untill I decide I'm ready to do somthing with them. I have one design wall in my bedroom for this purpose, and one hanging in my living room where I do my quilting, that is my currently "active quilt". Right now it's bare - just made my quilt sandwich. Will be adding a D9P to the wall bevor the end of the day.
