Okay, let me take a picture of where I am now. I have just finished the "outline stitching," as I now know it is called. I still like what I have done, but it just doesn't look as good as I thought it would. I ....hate to brag, but I will....have become really good at SID. This I am not so good at. Plus the whole thing looks wrinkled to me. I think perhaps I selected fabric that would look a bit wrinkled even if it was starch lots and lots.
I am putting it up for the evening, but here is where I am now. I lack quilting the border, and then it will be time to square it up and put on the binding. The binding will be the blue. I might use orange, but I already used every inch of my orange.
Thanks for the encouraging words....they help. I keep forgetting this is my first attempt at this outline quilting. This looks fine, and I will only get better.
