Love your funky chickens. They are a hoot. Thanks for sharing. Will be looking for the book.

My friend, Marie, raised chickens (named after women she used to work with), a goose named Geraldine and a deer named Jingle Foot. She recently passed away. But, having a terrific sense of humor, she would have absolutely loved these blocks. Once a fox kept killing her chickens. When they were all gone, Geraldine got so depressed. She would just sit on the back stoop and mope. So Marie had to go buy a duck for Geraldine as a pet!

Very cute, I love chickens. I bet they were fun to work on. I have yet to master applique, but my next project involves it. You did good.
