    Thanks for the replies. This is good news, because they're big sheets, so that's batting for at least 2 quilts sorted! Since I retired I'm having to seek out economical ways of doing things.

    Ladies...don't forget that not all flannel is appropriate for baby blankets. Make sure anything you make for a baby is "NON-FLAMMABLE" ...If you don't know for sure don't use it. Especially those fabrics picked up in thrift stores that aren't marked. Just a reminder. Peg

    I think the flannel makes the perfect weight for a summer quilt.
