I got 10 lbs of top quality flannel scraps for $5 about a year ago (posted before when I was trying to figure out what to do with them: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...s-t266268.html).
I've now made them into blocks--I guess you could call them kaleidoscoped triangles. I made 3", 6" and 12" finished blocks so that I could mix and match the blocks. I have A LOT of blocks. So I'd like to make one lap quilt and maybe a few baby quilts, and possibly one queen size quilt from them. I have what will probably be a queen size quilt on my design wall. I'd like to know what y'all think of this. I have lots of other colors (see the second photo) but I thought I'd have one dominant, if not exclusive, color in each quilt top. The additional blocks I added give it a little punch, I think. Am I fooling myself into thinking this will be something nice? Any suggestions?

about the only place I can find flannel that I like is at the thrift stores. Great colors!

I like the pops of colour in the top. For the other brights, I might try to lay them out kind of like a OBW where you group like colours together but create movement kind of like a river.

I think it is wonderful! I love flannels. You can always put in a few more blocks of color.

Every male I know would love that quilt! I think it looks great. We don't always have to use lots of different colors, just what we like! It looks "modern" male to me.

Just keep in mind that flannel quilts are heavier than cotton quilts. so the bigger you make them, the heavier they will be.
