I made flannel quilts for my family back in 2005 and I used wool batting. They still look good. Since it has been a while, I am making another batch for my family for Christmas. Wool is just lovely to quilt through!

I use 80/20 batting and I dont use the X. I am doing a star in the middle. I have a flannel layer cake that Im using and some flannel yardage to cut into 10 inch squares for the backing.
