    I have done flannel quilts without washing the squares before and it come out fine...Just quilt as usual and then wash and it. Will look shink all together or mine did any way

    I soaked the squares first.
    It's alot more work than I expected.
    Their still damp & alot of fringe.

    don't think I'll do it this way again.
