Need your help! Can you tell me how you easily tell which is the right and wrong side of flannel?

which ever side looks the best... I sometimes think the texture make a manly quilt look manlier (is that a word or how it's spelled)LOL
I never fuss over this to much as no one but me will see if I turn it wrong...

Mary Ellen Hopkins would say, if you can't see it from a galloping horse, no one else will.

Flannel is usually almost white on the back. Maybe you have some brushed cotton which is very similar? If it is, one side is fuzzier than the other. If it's yarn dyed, homespun stuff--there is no wrong side.
