    I have made several flannel rag quilts. I use flannel instead of batting and cut it the same size as my squares or rectangles. That way it frays along with the top and bottom adding extra fluffiness. Someone made a flannel lap quilt for me after we suffered a tragedy. I use it regularly. It is warm and wonderful.

    My grandchildren love them....the triplets put in their orders for christmas, so took them shopping to choose their fabrics....almost 15 yrs old girls can make some wild choices.....their younger brother is a little more subdued....
