I checked a book out of the library titled "Floorquilts! by Ellen Highsmith silver. I am going to make a couple to go in front of my recliners where it gets so dirty. Will post a photo when I get one done. If you have made one, do you have any secret how-tos.

Are these the kind that are painted on canvas or actually sewn like a quilt?

No clue. But the Cotton Theory Method works well for floor mats.

These are not painted floorcloths, they are fabric fused and decoupaged to a canvas foundation. Looks like it will be fun.

Gosh, no I have not seen anything like this except once on ebay there was a book advertised as No Sew Fun or something like that. I will be interested to see your project photos. Wonder what is used for decoupaging? I decoupaged on wood years ago but this really intrigues me. Keep us posted with photos. Good Luck.

I recently made 2 round quilts as floor mats for babies to play on. Not exactly the same as you are talking about, though. I would like to see yours when done. Sounds interesting.
