    I guess I'm another odd man out. I'm with ManiacQuilter. I felt the colour of the flower was too bright and drew my eye. It also was too large. The hexi's look so delicate and lacy. I would really like to see a smaller hexi as the flower and maybe use a single 1/6th of a hexi as a bud.

    I think the applique is exquisite, but it belongs on a different quilt. It steals the show from the interior of the quilt and the interior deserves the center stage uninterrupted by motion in the wings. This opinion certainly puts me in the minority and your quilt will be beautiful whatever you decide. froggyintexas

    Another odd man out: keep the flowers, but make them smaller and not as bright. JMHO...
