Default Flying Geese no wast method measurements

    Hi,
I'm trying to do the Moda Sampler Shuffle, and on block #7 there are flying geese that measure 1 1/2" x 2 1/2". Does anyone know what measurements I would use to get my FG that size using the no waste method?
I don't need instructions how to do the no waste method, just the starting measurements for that size.

    Thanks.
    Teri

I use Eleanor Burns method of using two squares of different sizes. No waste and they come out accurate. Not sure what to tell you. Hope someone can help.

Yes, I know HOW to do the no waste method, but can't find the measurements of the starting squares for that sized goose. I found measurements on about a dozen different sizes, but not that size.

This chart gives measurements for a 1-1/2 x 2-1/2" unfinished block.

Finished flying geese are always twice as wide as they are tall, so your measurements must be for geese that finish at 1"x2". EIQuilter's chart shows both finished and unfinished sizes, so you're good to go.

I love the BlocLoc chart for FG. Yes, the little squares are by the eighth of an inch but it makes it easier putting them in a corner rather than eyeballing it and putting them 1/8" away (as in Deb Tucker's method). I love having them oversized so you can trim and they will be perfect. bTW, I love Lynn Wilder's method for HST.

Should have added that for an UNFINISHED 1 1/2 X 2 1/2" four at a time FG, you would start with four 2 1/8" squares and one 3 1/2" squares. Try this method, you'll like it.
