So I can play with random shapes, flowers and such, and I will have lots of space to practice some stippling and meandering and the like...and she won't care at all how amateur-ish they look!

I have a big foot and love it. My machine is a Janome 6600P. I tried the open-toed darning foot (hopping foot) but found I have more control with the big foot and less eyelashes on the back.
