    I prefer Superior Threads mono poly. I took classes with Harriet and she used the mono filament thread to stabilize the rows then switches to another thread to quilt within the rows.

    How do you control whether the bobbin is tightly wound or looser? Doesn't the machine control that?
    Use regular thread in your bobbin. Some people can use the MF in both, but I didn't like the fact that I had to hand wind them, or go really, really slow.
