Default Fold n stitch wreath question

I'm about to make my first wreath and I have a question about the Bonsal foam. How do I know which side has the glue on it?

I wondered the same, I only made one and I think it is the bumpy side.

Should be bumpier, if not sure test a tiny piece between two layer of fabric. Whatever side sticks it is the glue side. Just don't get it on your iron.

Don't forget to post pics, we always like to see someone's creations.

OK Bosal makes 3 kinds of interfacing foam. One that has adhesive on one side, one that has adhesive on 2 sides & one that has adhesive on no sides (sew in). If you have the single sided variety, you should be able to tell the difference. If you have one of the other 2 varieties, both sides are going to look the same. If you can't tell, just snip off a sliver & do a test on a scrap piece of fabric.

I fibbed. looked at my bosal and it is fusible on one side. easy to tell. sort of a gridded design on that one and it feels much different. so easy not to iron on wrong. Good luck.

do you need to make it with the foam. can you use a regular interfacing?

I also have made with both bosal foam and fusible peltex 71 and they both work, but I actually like the peltex better.

I bought a kit with the bosal foam in it and had the same question. I called the company and asked which side had the glue on it. They didn't know. The girl who answered the phone didn't know and said she would ask someone else and call me back. The end result is no one knew. I just decided to guess, neither side seemed "bumpy" to me. Turned out alright, but I didn't like it when I was done, so I don't think I will ever make another (especially with bosal foam).
