I love my Janome 6600!!! I won mine on a quilt shop hop a few years ago (as a matter of fact is was in February 2010). The total cost of this machine was the maintenance agreement I purchased at the local shop that does the service and I also got lifetime lessons for it too. I am sad to say that I have used it for very little other than piecing quilts - but it does a great job at that.

Congratulations on your sweet husband and your nice machine. Without that husband of yours, you wouldn't have that nice machine. Sounds like a good man to me!

Raine - he paid $1100. My last machine was a Brother 9000 that he purchased from Amazon.com for $150. That machine was a tried and true friend, but I think it died from exhaustion. We made over 80 quilts together before its untimely death. Repair cost would have been more than cost of machine.
