Dave Just wanted to say good thinking. Growing up I had a grand pa with no legs,cut off by train.He didnt let any thing stop him.He learned to weld and oopened his own shop and welded cars for racing.He fixed his car befor any one came up with all this fancy stuff now adays.Mind you this was the 40s.He drove all over,married his second wife had 2 more kids.He hunted,fished.Only thing he would scare us when he took his legs off and left them sticking out from under our bed when he would spend the night sometimes.He didnt let his disadvantages slow him down,so keep on trucking.Please show us your quilt when your done.

I too am on a walker. Happened when I was still in my latter 50's. Alot of adjustment but I too am learning to adapt. Ought to see me run a vacuum. Walker great for transporting things. I thank God eveeryday that I can still get up and go. Walker better than just "sitting".

David keep up the inventive ideas. I know that there are things that slow us down but not out. I have tremors that
are sometimes bad, I can no longer use straight pens at any time, I stick my self more than the fabric. I use safety pens and big plastic paper clips. So we do work around out trials... :thumbup: :thumbup:

You know - I'll have to get my mother's walker out and use it - she's gone now but I still have some of her home health equipment. I've used a card table that I cut the center out of for quilting - used big bull dog clamps to hold it on the sides but it's very low and hurts my back. Mother's walker is adjustable. Thanks for the idea and I hate thimbles too (except the little leather dots) so here I go to the duct tape.

So glad you can get it done this way. My aunt who was in a wheelchair used to spread hers on the dining room table. Yes you can use duct tape there also. What ever works Marvel
