I have many scrapy four patches made with muslin and scraps. Is there a way to make an Irish Chain of sorts with four patches? Any other suggestions?

They are 2 1/2" squares, which makes for 4" finished block.

I'm planning on doing just that. Maybe it's not technically an Irish Chain but I think it will be a nice design.

What are your plans? Are you just going to do a four-patch and then an alternate block or draw it out and make a design with the four-patches.

I was just looking at this yesterday...She uses a four patch and combines the 4 patch...let me see if I can find the link. I decided to try to do it with some 2.5" squares I'll create out of strips, etc.

Check out the scrappy Double Irish chain. I'm fascinated by the idea.

I like her ideas. I just don't know if I can make mine come out like that or not. I'll have to study it more.

Thank you for sharing this with me.

I think what you have would make a great Irish Chain!! You must have read my mind b/c I was thinking about that very pattern today. I love it set on point.

if you have a photo of one you like but no actual pattern, just draw lines 1/2 way across the center and top to center. then make 1/4 of the quilt design -four times. then you have the whole quilt.
    have fun!!
