Look at this website. http://www.creations-online.com/pattkits/quilts.htm Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see a picture of a one block wonder plus the instruction book. Amazing!

I get the general idea, but have one question.Do you have to put corner posts on all block corners? I hate working with posts. Maybe just lazy, but mine never look good.

You are the quilter...you can do whatever you want! No corner posts on my first one.

    That is one beautiful quilt.

DeeBooper I just saw yours when this posted and they are also fantastic! Looks so difficult but sounds so easy. I have to try.

DeeBooper - love your quilts. Your fabrics both had lots of straight horizontal and vertical lines, but they went together beautifully into this design. And combining the black/white with the relatively pale print was a brilliant idea. You seem to have a gift for knowing what it takes to make a quilt sing.

QuiltE - thank you for bringing up this topic. I had thought that one quilt was enough for me to make with this pattern, but I'm changing my mind. I need to go shop the stash to see if I have anything that looks like good 4-patch posie fabric. Unfortunately I don't have many medium-to-large scale prints, so the answer may be... a shopping trip!

Thanks for posting ... both are incredible. Love the range of colours from the first one ... the the subtlety of the second.

About sashing .... and everyone please jump in!

Using DeeBoos' for examples ... the all black, strips between then one long strip across the full row?

And for the two colour ... do you border up each sqaure in black then continue on? Or assemble black/white/black to add all at once? Which works smoother? and easier to keep squared up for the full quilt?

    Please? and Thanks!

I'm teaching a class at our LQS. Trust me, it's a very simple, beginner type of pattern. You'll love it -- and it's just as addictive as the other kalaidoscope blocks! Have fun!!! By the way, I first saw one here! This board is addictive, too!
