Went to Hannibal Mo yesterday to visit with my sister & niece and of course HAD to go to Hickory Stick "just to look".
Well they had 20 pc. FQ bundles regularly $60 on sale for $29.99
How could I pass that up!?
It was hard decided which fabrics set to buy, but finally settled on this set.

Also made a new friend at my nieces home. He was sooo sweet, he wanted me to stay & play :)

The raccoon is so darling. A very nice friend to have. Did she have it sense it was a baby?

    Interesting story. :D

My niece took her daughter to France for her graduation gift and while they were gone
which was 2 weeks, her son (16 yr old) found this baby coon
brought it home and really thought his mother was going to let hime keep it.
My niece returned home, ORDERED to raccoon OUT of the house.......but he won't leave!!
Her husband has driven him miles away and released him..only to have him show back up in a few days!

He's starting to really wreck havoc on their brand new home and my niece is NOt a happy camper about it!
(but she's softhearted and doesn't want her DH to kill him either)

Beautiful fabric and cute raccoon. I hear they are sweet when they are little then terrible when they grow up.

I know. I told them they might have to take it across the river so it can't work it's way back to their house.

It's already destroyed all the weather stripping from their front door, pushed the screen out of the storm door and scaled the house and tried to get in through the upstairs windows.

They need to make him a pen like they would an outdoor dog. Make him some climbing toys etc. Raccoons can be vaccinated just for rabies just like dogs and cats. I used to have pet raccoons. If they take him off some place now, it's going to be a large animal sanctuary where he won't find his way back "home" he is too used to people and will ended up being destroyed if he starts doing this stuff at someone elses house. Tell her to look for an Wildlife Rehabilitator in her area

For the last month or so we have had a raccoon around the
condos that I live in. We first discovered that we had a
raccoon hanging around here when we found the bugger on our
    balcony one night.

We called our landlord about the problem and she in turn
called some rinky dink "animal relocators" they called us
and said that since I was the only one home during the day
that it would have4 to be on MY balcony that they set up the
traps to catch it. I told them they best find another way
to trap it because 1) I am NOT home all day everyday, I am
only home when the temp agency does not have work for me,
and 2) I am NOT going to trap my cats indoors all day and
everyday until they catch the coon because my cats litter box is on the balcony.

We than called out landlady and told her what the animal
relocators said and what we told them.

Last weekend my husband decided that since the condo assoc.
won't do anything about the animal that we would take take of protecting our furkids our selves.
He enclosed our entire 30 foot balcony with wood lattice and
sent the bill to the land lady.

We will see what is said about the lattice in time.

I wish your niece and family good luck and getting rid of
    the coon.
