    Oh dear, how did you ever get it out? Did it ruin your machine?

    I use fray check on all little holes that develop in clothes. In fact my hubby has even gotten to the point when he spots a small hole in his jeans he asks me for the fray check immediately.

    I've not found that it makes things stiff-but then again I've not tried to do an entire seam. It washes well.

    fry block is softer alternative but the tub is not as easy to control as fry check

    i love that stuff! i used it around some satin blocks my dgd thinks need to be in her doll quilt.. sewed without any unraveling!

    So would Fray Check work for those seam allowance that are "mysteriously"
    less than 1/4"? I know this could never happen. ;)

    I was told in a sewing class that it can discolor over time. Don't know if it true.
