I am sorry about double posting this. I did try to add to my original post and there is no way to add pictures, so I am sorry about doing this post again.
These are the fabrics that I have that I want to use for this bargello. Can anyone help me put these fabrics in the order that would look good. I also have solid black fabric. I don't have red fabric like I had thought. But I sure would appreciate ANY AND ALL fabric placement suggestions.

    Here is the pattern again...

    http://www.clothworks.com/pattern_download.asp?ID=221

And here are the fabrics that I have. There are a total of 9 fabrics. The fabric on the far left you can't see very well but it is white background with black. I didn't put numbers on the fabrics, but the fabric on the far left will be #1 then #2 etc going left to right. So if you decide to help me, we will know what number is for what fabric. Thanks so so much. :)

9 black and white fabrics numbered 1-9 going left to right

It's a bit difficult to really see the fabrics but I've come up with this -- 5,8,2,9,1,3,6,7,4. Try putting them in that order and taking a photo to see how you like them. The hardest one for me to place was #1 because I couldn't see it well enough. Hope I've been able to help a little bit. Good luck.

I looked at the pattern and it looks to me that if you want the same pattern you only need 6 fabrics, so try this order.....

    4, 9, 6, 3, 1, 5 see how that works..

Take a pic in black & white or like a grey scale. Been fooled with this one before! LOL Things can really be deceiving.

Looking at it again with better eyes I think you should toss out 1,3 and 6 from your original line. 1 and 3 look to gray and 6 just doesn't seem to fit to me.

you may also want to add a color to make it pop. Traditionally, bargello is done with shades of one color and a complementary color, at least according to the books I collected from back when I did needlepoint/bargello
