    got the pattern downloaded and saved. I think I would like to make the purple one. would be smashing I think in the black and white also. please post the pics when you are finished with the top.

    Thanks for the free pattern lead. I love it. I do have a question about what makes a bargello a bargello, however. All the pieces in this quilt seem to be the same dimension, but the overall pattern of the quilt is the classic bargello. Does a true bargello require varying width strips in both directions? Or is it the design of the final product? Can't wait to hear the verdict. :-)
