Default free motion, BSR, and Ruler work

OK, I have been piecing on my new Bernina 475 for a while now and decided I want to do something different. Yep, free motion quilting. I have tried it on a sit down several years ago but am thinking about giving it a try again as I am older and while I love quilting on my long arm, for smaller projects, it might be nice to sit and stitch a bit. I gave it try using the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR). I hadn't tried that for quite a while but as I can use the BSR that came with my 590 on the 475, I went for it. OK, I still can't get it to exactly do what I want it to. I am trying to do smaller motifs like loops and circles, so I reduced the stitch length, and it seems to work better. So, anyway, I am practicing on a scrap sandwich at the moment. Then I am planning on moving onto a 60 X 60 Judy Neimyer quilt I Stitched in the Ditch on using a ruler and a longarm but need to do some fill quilting. I also think I can use some ruler work on my domestic on it too. This will be an adventure.
