Freezer paper and having way too much fun
#81
I'm attending a class this coming Wed to learn how to do it this way. You don't have to change you stitch length or use a larger needle because you aren't going to tear off any paper! I've also used it for applique, but prefer to use heat-resistant plastic sheets and brush on starch around the edges and iron. I get nice, crisp lines that way.

I forgot to add that after tracing the pattern onto my freezer I them iron it onto the wrong side of my fabric. If I don't remove the paper just before I completely applique the whole shape onto my background, I cut a small slit in the background fabric behind the shape and use tweezers to remove it.
