    The pairing of the school colors will have SO much more meaning to him - and it looks great with the black and white. Sometimes we have to change things around to customize the quilt for the receiver. :thumbup:

    I personally like the light to dark. If you really want this to represent his schools pairing the colors would be the way to go.
