I am going to France Oct 8th to the 15th. I am going to
La Rochelle, then headed to the east, towards Paris, and I am in need of fabric shops along the way. HELP!! I am not too good at navigating the internet!! Thanks in advance, Sophie

Quilt shops in France are very few and far between and also very expensive. Count on paying between 18-26 Euros/metre for fabric, currently $24 - $34 a metre. Other "quilty" items are proportionately as expensive.

A few good ones in Paris, and there are others in the Bouche de Rhone or Mediterranean coastal cities - not much good for a Paris visit!
However here a few links to some in and very close to Paris.

following is approx 25kms south west of Paris

    south side of Paris

I live in the south west so don't know the stores, but got the details from the website of French Quilting Guild.

Also general fabric stores often have a patchwork dedicated counter, such as this one just by La Rochelle

Could be worth a visit, and they speak English too.

Here are some other fabric stores in La Rochelle

    Enjoy your trip!

Have a great trip but don't expect to see too much different from what you have in the US, except at much higher prices :O(
