No appliances...I sew in the guest bedroom or on a sunporch near the kitchen. I don't want food in my sewing room, but I nearly always have a cup of tea getting cold everywhere I go.( : I am just very careful where it sets when I sew.

I have barred food/drink/smoking in my sewing room. I spilled a cup of coffee on a quilt top once and that was all it took. But it also causes a problem because I can't stay for more than 30 minutes without taking a break. I don't get much done in a day's time.

Yes, walking to the kitchen is a good idea! Lol! Otherwise, I'd sit and quilt for hours.

Both but I would take frig over microwave. You can always buy one of those plug in hot water makers or a coffee pot for hot drinks. People are not permitted to eat drink where the quilting is. Oh and I do have quilting and crafty stuff in those cabinets. LOL Not in the frig though.

food does have to stay in this area.

heavens no,..i do not even allow anything beyond water into my sewing room...if i'm still drinking coffee in the morning i have to wait...nothing in the sewing or quilting room stronger than water---no need for a microwave or fridge...those would take up premium fabric-tools space

I don't have to go far for a coke or what ever I want, our house is small. I do have a little TV hooked up to satilite in my sewing room. i enjoy that.

No, I only have something cold to drink between meals. If I want a snack I go sit at the table. I'd be big as a barn if food was too handy.

I have the whole walk out basement as my studio - however I have broken it up into a family room, kitchenette and the rest is my studio. I have a full bath and a huge closet with shelves for my fabric etc. I have both a microwave and a small refrigerator in my kitchenette.

I have a T.V, mini fridge & radio/CD player in my sewing room, and the bathroom is 10 feet away! I love it!

I'm in a small bedroom between the iron, the machines, the lamps, I'd be afraid I'll overload the system with either one if I did want them.
