I have been using these for the past year and love them. I found them at the office supply stores as well as other stores mentioned. I personally am not too worried about my quilts going into extreme cold, but it is a valid concern for some. I would also point out that they don't iron out too well on batiks. Maybe something in the waxy fabric? Just a word of caution.

I got some on ebay, but they have only just arrived, so I haven't had time to play yet.

I agree. I'm not overly concerned about the hot /cold issue, but do wonder what damage to fibers the chemicals left behind do cause.

I mostly mark on the back side anyway and I love the pens. I do live in a cold state however and I suppose my quilts could be in zero temps. but I am not "sweating" the small stuff.
